Cycle Analytics for Traders
Review Cycle Analytics for Traders: Advanced Technical Trading Concepts
by JOHN F. EHLERS
Description
This book is the ultimate resource on the filters and technical indicators, as well as the factors that support them, as they are used in trading. With years of research and numerous theories that make up this book, the authors have arrived at the conclusion that, more often, solutions approach trading pragmatically to achieve good results. This book will give traders the chance to view their indicators and strategies in the frequency and time domain.
John Ehlers does a good job of explaining how indicators work in trading and how it possesses a predictive ability. Ehlers discusses Spectral Dilation and how it can be turned into an advantage, the use of Automatic Gain Control in normalizing amplitude swings, price forecast in terms of frequency and time domain, and more. Ehlers shows his readers proof that all trading indicators are actually just statistical, meaning that they are not absolute. John Ehlers presents his own ideas aside from research, which allows readers to also look at it from a different angle or to learn more about it. Overall, this book is recommended for all traders trying to learn how these indicators and strategies can predict future prices, where Ehlers claims it’s all statistics.
